Thank You | Charlottesville Virginia & Destination Wedding Photographer Sarah Houston Photography

I'm sure you've all seen it-somewhere-on the internet. Madeline Stuart is taking the world by storm and breaking down barriers. She's incredibly talented, super sweet and full of amazing joy/energy. It was an incredible honor to have photographed her in an amazing bridal shoot at Rixey Manor, literally a dream (that I am STILL processing). I'm still blown away seeing my photographs all over the place, honestly though...it's Madeline that made them <3 Her joy, her light shone through in each photograph. I just wanted to create these lovely portraits for Madeline and her Mom-Rosanne. I honestly didn't think it would be THIS big! I've had the question come up several times of: "Has this experienced changed you as a photographer in the wedding industry" honestly no....I'm still the same old small town girl who loves tacos and preserving gorgeous memories for each of my couples, I just happened to be blessed enough to have met Madeline and Rosanne through my amazing friends Isadora and Ben with Rixey Manor. I had literally written a blog post last week about being humble, then the shoot went viral...like crazy viral and I wanted to make it clear that I am STILL the same person, that I'm still humble and thankful for the blessings that God has given me. I just don't want people to think I've let this change me....I'll still offer advice to my fellow creatives, I'll still wear my I love Jesus, Coffee and Naps t-shirt with a messy bun, I'm not moving overseas, I'm not media thirsty. I just want to LOVE and SERVE each of my couples and create the wedding portraits they've dreamed of. Don't get me wrong-I'll say it again-I am completely grateful for all of this, all I've ever wanted was for people to love my portraits as much as I love creating them. I just wanted to say it hasn't changed me.

Yes it's surreal to and also a dream come true, but it's because Madeline, Her mom and Isadora/Ben trusted me to create these photographs. It's because of THEM that I had this incredible opportunity, it's because of them I had the honor of sharing my photographs with the world & I'll be forever grateful.

xoxo
